Daily Cals vs Weekly Cals

I've recently upped my net calorie goal from 1200 to 1500 based on advice from these boards (was exercising a fair bit but 'cheat' weekends were stopping me from losing weight).
However, now I've got used to it, I find it easy to stick to only eating 1200 gross during the week. This also means that when I have a cheat weekend, I can still be under my new net -weekly- goal (10,500).
My question is, is it OK to work like this, or is it more important to be meeting my 1500 goal everyday without cheats?
