Couple Questions...

Hey friends, I'm 6' 197 lbs and I think around 25% BF. I would like to get down to 20% BF, would it be better to cut down to say 185lbs or should I try and stay around 195lbs but lower my BF?
I have a pic at 205lbs in my collection, Should take a new one at 197lb.

Just trying to set up some goals, Thanks for any help.

I think that the best thing you can do is work on lowering your bodyfat without worrying at all about what it does to your weight. It seems like they go hand in hand, but your weight will fluctuate a lot when focusing on body recomposition even though you will be getting smaller.

Thanks yoovie, Sounds right... Just keep on with my tracking and lift heavy and see where I end up. Cheers.

In 1 year lifting, I dropped 10 pounds but I went from about 33+% bodyfat to 23% - so hell yeah.

Thats awesome! I have only been at this for 40 days so far, Down 8 lbs and one inch off my waist...Not a lot but I look much better in the mirror, lifting heavy I have already reached my goal of benching my body weight(200) ten times.

Eat at slight deficit, lift some heavy things. When you get to your target bf%, do a bulk cycle. That's how I would go about it. I'm 6', 175 for reference.
