Anybody with a fitbit flex have any opinions or comments about it. I have a zip and I just got a fitbit flex for my birthday. Just wanted to know what everyone thought of them. Thanks!

I will let you know. I kept going back and forth between the flex and the one. The flex I got because you keep it on your wrist all the time, while the one, is on your waist and when you sleep you have to move it to a wrist band, which knowing me, I would never do. lol!

I don't have one but I want one :) From what I've read, they're one of the more accurate activity trackers and I agree that it would be easier to leave it on your wrist at all times rather than worrying about moving it or possibly losing it.

I used to have a One, but have had a Flax for almost a year now. I love it. When you set it, wear it on your nondominant wrist but choose dominant wrist online for more accuracy.

I have a Fitbit one. Love it. It's accurate and helps me achieve my weight loss goals. Don't use it for sleep though. You may want to wait for Q1 2015.... Fitbit is releasing 3 new smart watches. Google Fitbit Surge.

I've had my Flex for about six months and think very highly of it. It's quite accurate considering it's not GPS-enabled and even if it's not 100% accurate, it's "off" by the same amount all the time.

Like any Fitbit (or any tracker) its true power is maintaining mindfulness about what you're doing and how much you're moving while doing it.

It holds a charge well, syncs effortlessly and plays nicely with MFP.

The sleep tracking is an interesting aspect as well. It's had the unexpected benefit of identifying some things I needed to change in my sleep habits and paid for itself just with that.

That said, I believe I'll be investing in the Charge HR when it releases in early 2015 for the constant heartrate info, which intrigues me. May even go for the Surge, although the GPS isn't as important to me as I use MapMyWalk for any outdoor activities.

Is anyone who is getting one for Christmas going to wait for the FitBit Charge? It comes out next week... Or even, the Charge HR, which includes a heart monitor.. HR doesn't come out until early next year.. I don't know whether to wait or not...

I like it but I found after a while it had difficulty getting it to sit in the charger correctly so sometimes it failed to charge. I think it's a common complaint. FitBit even sent me a replacement unit without asking for the other one back. The same thing happened to the replacement. I'm holding out for a Surge or Charge HR now.

I had the same experience, and my Flex finally just stopped working (it was about 11 months old). They sent me a replacement, and it's working and charging just fine.

I have the fitbit flex. I've had mine for over 6 months and love it. I also tried the jawbone up, but I decided to stick my flex. As advised above, wear it on your non-dominant wrist. I do utilize the alarm settings on it and love it!

I have a flex. I like it generally. I just leave it on all the time. It's held up to showers and trips to the beach with no trouble. I always eat back all the calories it gives me and it seems accurate.

However, I am on my third one. The customer service at Fitbit is good-- they have no trouble replacing your tracker if it breaks-- but it seems like they need to be replaced fairly often. My first one stopped recording steps and had to be reset multiple times per day (I'd only had it a couple of weeks) and my second one stopped holding a charge after about 3 weeks of use. This one I've had for a few months without incident though, so maybe I just had a bit of bad luck at the beginning.

Have the flex now, going to look to upgrade to the Charge HR next year since I rely on it so much :)
  • I've had mine for just over a month and I love it. Don't even remember I have it on. The only two drawbacks; 1) I still can't remember figure out the "light" meaning and 2) That it is not integrated with HealthKit, for this alone I will switch to another tracker. But if that is not an issue for you I think you will like it. Enjoy!

suzanne- There are 5 lights on the Flex, each represents 20% of your goal. If your goal is 10,000 steps a day and your Flex shows 2 lights, that's 2/5 or 40% of your goal, or 4000 steps. When you hit 6000, a third light will come on when you tap the display. When you hit 8000, a fourth.

I read that the last light also flashes for each 20% increment you've completed toward the next light goal. So if you show two lights and the second one flashes 4 times before staying solidly lit, you've completed 4000 steps plus (80% of the next 2000) 1600 = 5600 steps.

lisajo89- The Charge is out now at some retailers.

@Lewispwest - do you think it's worth waiting for the HR or just get the Charge?
