To be clear, it's an exotic for fun. You can't do the same load with a Jefferson or a Zercher you could with the bar racked, so I see it as a good toy for a deload week. Now if someone is doing those as the foundation of their leg work... well, I don't know. Don't think it would end as well as they'd like.

you make me wanna do a trap-bar powerclean and press.

I.... would LOVE to see that. lol.

I do both back and Zercher.

This isn't mean to be mean are argumentative; I'm truly curious. What training benefit do you feel you get by doing back squats and zercher squats?

    This is a real exercise.

Just remember, at the top, you rock those hips forward and back, then back down.

except I turn my torso so it is line with the bar. I know it looks funny but it takes a lot of strain off the lower back and is a great tool it you are injured and can't do conventional or sumo DL.

This sounds like someone messed up one day on deadlift and was like wow I still feel it. Work it in the routine.

Just wanted to add that Jefferson is similar to Trap bar deads but since my gym doesn't have a trap bar I chose Jefferson

A trap bar is on my wishlist too; I would start deadlifting again if my gym had one.
