So I was eating probably double the amount of calories I should have been until recently. Will I lose more weight than what MFP says on my goals? I'm now eating a little under the amount and I work out 2 times a week with a trainer. I'm just wondering how that works.

It's possible, but bodies like to do all sorts of fun things.
Most likely there will be a huge drop of water weight before everything balances out. Adjust your calories up or down if you're still stagnating after a couple weeks at your new calorie goal.0 -
No, with 5 pounds to go, you will probably lose at a half pound a week.0

The less you weigh the fewer calories you burn. In theory, you should be able to eat the maintenance calories for you goal weight and you will eventually reach it. I don't know that anyone has actually done that.0
