PSA: Exploding Belts

I was trying to explain the valsalva maneuver at work. I sinched up my everyday work belt and performed the maneuver.
Apparently my belt has a safety release built in. It burst open with some sort of metal jaws and a spring loaded mechanism. It won't really stay closed now very well. Please only perform superhuman feats with proper equipment.

    Were your co-workers suitably impressed? I know I would have been chuckling at that all day and you would forever be known as superabs in my mind. :D
