Food Diary

This is day 3 for me and I have to say that the food diary has been more important than I could have imagined. I had been trying to keep track of what I was eating in my head and was wondering why I wasn't losing. Just in 2 days I have figured out where I have been going wrong and I am making changes. One of my breakfasts was close to 800 calories. Almost my daily amount. This is a blessing and it is so helpful in making me accountable for everything i put in my mouth. Thank you MFP.

Are you weighing things? If you aren't and you begin weighing, you'll see even more differences.
About the only thing that I've found matches what the label says are hot dogs. Everything else generally weighs out with more or fewer calories than the label says.
Weighing is also helpful in that you need not use measuring spoons, so less of those to rinse out.
It really is so much nicer than looking things up in books and breaking it all down yourself, though.0
