Deleting Food from database

I understand how you delete food from the daily list; but I don't know how you remove food from the database who holds ALL the foods you have ever eaten! I would like to remove those foods that I rarely eat, so that my list doesn't keep growing. Is there anyone who may be able to help with this. Thank you.

The default view on the "Add Food To" screen is initially set to Recent. The Recent view pulls a maximum of 100 foods from the foods you have logged. A user cannot delete these.
You can change your default view on the "Add Food To" screen from Recent to Frequent. You can delete food items from your Frequent list.
On the Web version, navigate to Food > Settings
or click here ==> myfitnesspal.com/account/diary_settings
Change Default Add Food View from Recent to Frequent.
Scroll to the bottom and click Save Changes.0
