How to lose the moons?

In a nutshell, the stomach is going away nicely but not the man boobs. Are push-ups (the exercise, not the bra) the best way to tackle this. I do not lift and do not have gym access to begin lifting.

Push ups to start with. Do you have access to an outdoor park with resistance stations? Can you invest in some weights for at home use.

I'm bumping this. I go to the gym to lift but hopefully some other person on the board who doesn't go to a gym can give you advice on essential home weight equipment.

    You cannot spot-reduce.

But your moobs will look better if you have some real pecs underneath them, so get some nice heavy dumbbells or a barbell and start that bench press! Push-ups will only get you so far, though they are a great exercise too.

First up, your body will decide the order in which it burns your body fat. It's rare for it to choose an order we like. If you keep at it, the fat on your chest will eventually be burned.

Second, if you aren't doing some form of resistance training, you are losing muscle as well as fat. Even if you reach your goal weight, you will probably not be happy with the result. If you've lost a lot of weight, especially if you are older and your skin is less elastic, the moobs could be mostly loose skin. Building some muscle will help fill that skin.

Push ups and other calisthenics would go some way to helping. Better to start a structured weight lifting program, however.

In line with the comment above about developing pecs, if you have access to a pool go swim. Not just a couple of laps here & there, get in the water & pound out the yardage - made all the difference in the world for me......
