Maybe have a look at your balance of protein/fat/carbs, as well as reducing any refined carbs. I find that I have to have a higher mix of proteins and fats in every meal. I also avoid just carbs for breakfast - even steel cut oats, the ultimate complex carb, gives me the shakes after a couple of hours - an egg seems to make the difference, so I stick with that.

I also cut out caffeinated coffee. Although it doesn't affect blood sugar, it can mimic that same horrible shaky feeling.

It's also possible that you're not eating enough, but I've adapted what I eat and when I eat it rather than eat more and I've been OK for quite a few weeks.

Those are the symptoms of low blood sugar AND type 2 Diabetes, go to the Dr. The numbness in the leg will only get worse the longer you wait.

If you believe you have a blood sugar problem, I suggest you go to your doctor for testing. Keep in mind with diabetes blood sugar can go too low or too high.
