The Side Effects of Prilosec OTC

Anyone ever have bad side effects from Prilosec OTC? Two weeks of the meds and I have a dry persistent cough and just recently really frequent heart palpitations. The palpitations have gotten really scary; so frequent I cannot concentrate. I will not be taking them anymore. Anyone had these same types of problems with acid reflux meds? I have read enzymes and probiotics are what I really should be taking. (I also do not have a gall bladder). Any recommendations for natural remedies for acid reflux, or in my case "silent" acid reflux?

    I used Bragg's Apple Cider vinegar, took a spoonful in a little water as I could not tolerate it straight. Now that I've gone gluten free, I don't get acid reflux, you may want to try that.
