Should I be more aggressive?

I've been doing a squat challenge that has me up to 105 squats so far, 100 bicep curls with 5 lbs, 50 overhead extensions with 5 lbs, 20 twist with 5 lbs, 30 second arm circles, and 30 second reverse arm circles. Which I all together. My question is will this benefit me and should I be more aggressive? I've been told that abs are built in the kitchen so I've been wanting to work on my arms, butt, and thighs while I work on eating 1200-1300 calories a day. When I lose enough weight, planned on then adding abdominal exercises. I'm adding cardio tomorrow when I start at the gym. Any direction and advice on my workout plan would be greatly appreciated as I honestly have no idea what I'm doing.

The saying "abs are built in the kitchen" means that you won't have to "tone" your stomach when you've slimmed down.

It means that lowering your body fat percentage will reveal your abs when you're at a lower body fat percentage.

Because the fat is gone and reveals the muscle underneath. Does that make sense?

So it would benefit to do abdominal exercises now while I work down to a lower body fat precentage instead of holding off on them?
