Question about activity tracker and TDEE

I have the Garmin 15 which tracks my steps and also is a HRM for my cardio. When it tells me I have "burned 2500 calories,that is my TDEE correct?. However I also lift weights 5 or usually 6 days a week for 90 min a day. I add that through MFP because the Garmin doesn't include that. So I think I have to add the 2500 calories the Garmin 15 gave me,plus the calories MFP tells me I used lifting. Is this correct for my "true" TDEE? I also realize this is a ballpark figure. Thanks

I see you have your garmin synced with MFP.
If the interaction works similar to fitbits: whenever you log exercise on MFP, the information is transferred to Garmin
So if Garmin says you burned 2500, then yes that is your approx TDEE for the day. Adding your calories that you logged on MFP on top of that would actually double count them (if garmin works with MFP the same way it works with fitbit).0 -

Thanks--My Garmin doesn't track my weightlifting calories tho. I put them through MFP and my Garmin has no idea I am lifting weights because I don't wear it to lift.0 -
Okay.
I'm saying if you log on here that you did weightlifting, burned 200 calories @ 11pm for 30 mins, than that information is transferred to your device. At least that is how fitbit works. Anything I log on MFP (regardless of whether or not I'm wearing my Fitbit) gets transferred to Fitbit and taken into account when Fitbit calculates my calories burned.0 -
