a long road for me.

Hi ! I'm hoping my post will help others from here. If you have 10 pounds or you have 150 pounds to lose like me. Weight loss is the best thing that can happen to any one. It makes you feel better when you can do the smallest things. Like I could not clip my toe nails. I could not reach things on the floor with out using a grabber tool. Walking was a hard thing to do also. I went from walking with a cane, to a walker and finally to a wheel chair. I thought I would never walk again.
I have arthritis and wore out my hips and knees. So I finally went to get a Gastric By-Pass done. I started the process of this surgery a year ago January. The Doctors in the clinic were fantastic. They cry with you, the laugh with you, they get excited with you. I am so glad that I have such a wonderful team on my side. There are times when you get a little depressed going thru a ordeal like weight loss. My doctors where there to help in any way. There were times when my family could not see the accomplishments that I made. I wanted to be noticed and I was thrilled if I went down another pound. Those that see you every day were excited, but don't see every pound.
I have hit my 1 year anniversary date and I have lost 104 pounds. I have had a hip replacement. I now walk with out any assistance from a wheel chair, walker, or cane. I am very proud of that.
I just had a Double Hernia repaired and doing great. I have 48 more pounds to go it hit my goal weight.
I hope my story will help some one to get over there obesity. I waited til I was 60 do undergo this journey. Now at 61 years old. I am now able to wear a pretty Dress for the first time in 40 years.
Thank you for listening :flowerforyou:
