Introducing myself as... myself!

Hello! I'm not one to hang around places for very long without properly introducing myself. My parents call it manners, I call it narcissism... tomato, to-mah-to, etc.
My name is Rob, but I have at least two dozen nicknames, so as long as you don't refer to me as either "Bob," or "Robbie," we'll be on speaking terms. I've been using MFP for exactly a week now, and have become increasingly obsessed by the day.
I've been overweight, often severely so, for most of my entire adult life. There was a period of time in my early 20's when I lost about 90lbs while getting down to my lightest ever at around 190lbs. That was 10 years ago, I am now 32, and have gained 120lbs back meaning at 310lbs I am currently the heaviest I have ever been. I was finally referred to as "big guy" one too many times before deciding to make a change, so here I am. Oh yeah, and there's that whole thing about wanting to live to see my daughter grow up...
My current weight goal is to lose 100lbs over the next 18-24 months, and then reevaluate where I would like to go in terms of fitness. The last time I got down below 200lbs, I began looking very ill even though I felt great. At that point in time I thought I was doing everything right, but after doing an absolute ton of research over the last couple of years I was likely not taking care of myself properly which is probably what caused the sickly look. It still remains a point of contention in my brain that will have to be worked through when I get there, so for now anything beyond 190lbs would be on a different plane of existence than what works for me in this universe.
Anyway, I'm currently on the second week of a C25K program as well as weightlifting three times per week with a low-weight high rep. full body routine until I get my form down for the first few weeks at which time I'll start to increase the weight, and lower the reps.
Right now, my real goal is just to make my body work better, and have physical endurance so that I'm not winded after climbing up a couple of stairs. I'm an extremely practical person, so anything aesthetic-wise wouldn't even be secondary, or tertiary at this point. We'll see when we get closer to that mark though.
Well, sorry for the long winded introduction, and I hope you're not drooling on your keyboard while snoring right now. Feel free to say "hi!," or whatever, and I'll hopefully see you around!
