Check my diary and you'll see that I am (very) aware whiskey has calories, but the alcohol thing is news to me! Any chance we can get alcohol listed as a macro? I'm certain I could hit that number!

Every darn day! I'd knock it out of the park!

    And THAT folks.

Is an actual strong first post. :)

I'm in for a daily ethanol dosing goal.

I'm in...a long time ago I met a lonely man named Whiskey. He would not judge me. He would only listen to me and my slow moving disjointed ramblings. Many a bottle has been consumed, and my liver gently aches because of it.

While you seem the kilted slant, I invite you to the hills of Kentucky, to explore a small place called Rowan's Creek. Quite excellent.

I never turn my nose up at good Kentucky bourbon... I have had Knob Creek, but never heard of Rowan's Creek... will put it on my list.

Not sure if my black label had any alcohol or calories but I did get a PB on chin-ups last time I partook, so actually improves sports performance.

Seriously considering it as a workout drink

    I want peanut butter.
  • I think I need to do my own research on this...I'm gonna need some volunteers to be my test subjects. Any takers? I'd also like to find out what affect "said alcohol" has on the mind and actions before and after consumption. Should be interesting research...

It appears that I may need to start skipping breakfast (is that bad for me?), in order to get my proper allotment of whiskey each day.

Just have a shot *for* breakfast then you needn't skip. What are they teaching kids these days, anyway?

This makes sense to me. I mean...they created Irish coffee for a reason. And I think that reason was breakfast.

Most days I need alcohol in the form of whiskey and beer to even get close to my calorie goal :)

I've had that particular breakfast a lot when I lived in SF.

I met Whiskey's first cousin - bourbon - and became fast friends. We are inseparable. We, bourbon and I, tolerate the other side of the family - the Whiskey's - but they are on the "wrong side of the tracks" so-to-speak so I stay away. If I get around the Whiskey's, there is going to be trouble.

While on THAT subject... I have learned that Bud Light Lime is actually a better sports drink that Gatorade...

It is a terrible beer, but makes for a great Gatorade replacement!

I can't do anything with ethanol and then workout. Makes me want to purge and then die.

In reality I am the same way - definitely wait until after the day's training is done before, err, rehydrating...

Although while skiing I usually carry a flask with some bourbon or rye in it for those lift rides ;)
  • Wait...what? Alcohol evaporates so therefore no calories. Stop spreading lies OP

    5th macro.

    4th macro is brotein, 1g = 4 kcals and 2 pumps.
5th macro is ethanol, 1g = 7kcals and a moderate increase to temporary popularity.

Shet that sucks. Try tequila. When you finish it you won't even know you finished it and nothing else will matter.

This thread reminds me that I ran out of whiskey over the weekend. I am going to have to make a stop on my way home after my swim, because dammit I will need the calories tonight.

Just mix it in hot coffee. That takes care of everything.
