Starting New Rules of Lifting for Women today! Any advice?

Hello!

This is a part of Accountability! I am starting NROLFW today! Very excited! I've lost a few pounds running and doing a round of PiYo, but really want to begin lifting. I've read the NROLFW book cover to cover and watched YouTube videos for form pointers :).

Over the weekend, to dip my toes in, I did some squats with the bar only in the free weights cage rack thing in the free weights area of my gym. I thought it would be terrifying to be among all the "dudes" but it was so easy! Because I had done my research, I felt confident!

Anyone have any tips for the program? Or if anyone is currently doing it or is about to begin Stage 1, feel free to add me! Thinking about posting some before pics... Again- accountability!

Thanks for reading!
Jamie

Commitment is like a muscle, exercise it.
Be sure to be mentally prepared to hurt from time to time. DOMS at the start can be a b.
Follow the program as it is written.
It's ok at the start to be a little conservative about numbers.
Enjoy the process and the progress.

thats where i began, i love it. record yourself doing things like squats and deadlifts to correct your own form, i really like Romanian deadlifts for the hamstrings, you will get to that

I haven't quite started the program, but I received my book in the mail yesterday! I'm really eager to start, but I want to read and really process everything that's written leading up to the actual program. Definitely update us on how it goes!
