My Journey: Exchanging bad habits for good, one at a time

Who's with me? I have a list of bad habits that I would like to exchange, one at a time,, with new and healthy habits. I know it takes time to change habits, but I am going to give it a try. I'm ready to motivate you, too, if you want.

This is my first list::
Cut out sugar from black (Turkish) coffee
stop eating AFTER dinner.
Eat ONE plate of food for dinner.
Go to sleep on time.
Wake up early enough to have time to work out before work.
Cut down on CARBS as much as possible.

For today May 28- I did pretty good, except for the gym (had trouble falling asleep last night, so couldn't wake up this morning). Today was the first time that I had black coffee with sweet-n-lo instead of my usual one tsp of sugar. it was fine! I can't believe I've been drinking it with sugar my whole life and just cut it out today (I drink regular /espresso/latte without sugar but had a problem with the Black Coffee). I have to cut back on the fruit, according to the food list I have too much sugar. I had carbs (bread, whole wheat) only at dinner. For breakfast i had a yogurt and latte. for Lunch i had a big cabbage salad with roast chicken, no carbs.

    Good ones! I'm totally borrowing (ok, stealing) your "Stop 'mindless' munching at home"

    I am good with the water, i probably drink 2-3 liters a day.

    A lot of the goals I've already accomplished since I started last year, but here's what I've done:

    1. Cut WAY back on sweets. (No deprivation, just a lot less.)
    2. Don't eat too much. (I like using a smaller plate instead of a standard plate for meals.)
    3. Drink a lot of water. (I do at least 4 glasses a day, can get to 8.)
    4. Exercise. (I'm no longer sedentary.)
    5. Don't worry about slow weight loss. It's supposed to be about 1-2 pounds a week anyway.
    6. The only person I should influence is myself. I will not be swayed by The Biggest Loser, America's Next Top Model, or anything of the sort. I am the one doing this for my health.

    Short, but sweet and easy.
