Moi in the orchid garden at the resort:

Saltwater pool at the resort - so cool! That little canal floods with water so the pool has fish in it (you can see them under the bridge) and the pool has a sandy bottom. (I'm going to delete this one soon since its a bathing suit pic lol)

Tulum - ancient Mayan fortress city:

Bonus pic of my tan! Too bad it is like 60 degrees here so I can't maintain it, I was planning on laying out on my balcony LOL.

I hope you did some snorkeling in Akumal. It's such a great place for sea turtles.

Thank you so much for the compliments :). i was feeling soooo much better and more comfortable than at my beach vacation last summer!

Janedough I can't wait to see your pics, that trip sounds amazing? When do you leave?

Mleech - we did go to the beach there, so beautiful but man the water was rough!! I kept getting knocked down by the waves so didn't stay in too long.

I did go snorkeling In akumal and swam in a cenote - that was actually a joint excursion. The turtles in akumal were so cool!! We also snorkeled right at our resorts beach - no turtles there but some colorful fish & it was great to be able to snorkel for free lol. The cenote was crazy, I was a little scared at first but it was such a neat experience! Ill add a pic of that tonight :)

Here are the pics of the cenote! Cenotes are like caves/underwater lakes - we had to climb down a ladder from ground level in the middle of a forest, and it opened up to this. The water was FREEZING because it is freshwater - but it was also absolutely clear & still so we could see all the way down (it was about 30ft in the deepest areas)! There were a few teeny fish in the water, and there were bats in the cave. So we snorkeled from one end to the other, it was scary at first but also amazing!

Cutiekimmie what a great pic! That beach was soooo gorgeous :). What resort did you stay at?
