Hi all!

I'm new here and am trying to kickstart my 20lb weight loss journey today. I have my first nutritionist (R.D.) meeting tonight and would love to hear some stories/advice about experiences with a nutritionist! Any advice? Experiences?

And RD is a dietician and a far cry from a nutritionist. Glad to hear it's an RD. Bring a note book and ask questions about your calorie limits and macro ratio that they would recommend.

I had great success meeting with an RDN! She was worth every penny. Brain storm questions and if you have your MFP diary filled out for a few days or weeks that can be a plus. Hopefully she (or he) is as awesome as mine was and you'll be able to email questions after everything sinks in and you start going through everything. It can seem like a lot of info so just try not to feel overwhelmed!

    Best of luck :)

I started with an RDN last year.I learned an awful lot about nutrition and how to lose weight. I think you made a great decision and for me it was worth every penny.

In order to help you, she might ask you what you have been eating. You could print the last two days of your diary .

Thanks everyone! The first meeting was amazing, I think this six week program is going to help so much. I know what foods are healthy, but just keep getting into this cycle where i take a week or four off of being healthy! Very excited about the new process. Also found out shes actually "M.S, RD, LDN" so even better! It felt more like "Food psychology/therapy" then education which is awesome :)
