Hi,
I'm Bronwen from Queensland. At the beginning of the year I decided to lose weight. I weighed in at 102kg. as of today I weigh 86.1kg. I changed scales recently and the new ones put me a kilo heavier than what I had been measuring, ah well. I started exercising 2 months ago and in that time have lost 5 of those kilograms. I have lost more centimetres than weight but it takes me forever to drop a size. I was a size 18 and have just dropped down to a 16. I hear of so many others who drop 3 sizes in the weight I have lost.
I wanted to track what I was eating and how much I was moving. I carry the weight fairly evenly and most people have been surprised when they find out my actual weight. I have 2 spare tyres, one just under the rib cage and one around my lower abdomen, but still a defined waist. I use the Wii a lot as my exercise, using the active, fit dance DVDs, Zumba etc etc. I find this easier as I have 5 children and not a lot of money, so I use what I have on hand. Hoping to be able to get some hand weights soon. I use a resistance band at present.
I am exercising anywhere up to 5 times a week, averaging about 4. I'm not sure I really enjoy it but it is getting the job done. I find on the days i really don't want to if I tell myself just this one exercise and then I can stop, I don't stop, I do the whole lot.
Well I think I have yapped on far too long. Hope to get to know a few of you.
