Broke the toe next to my little one doing yoga

Tuesday morning and I was feeling a little lazy to work out. I pushed myself to put on my workout clothes and clear out my living room space (half assed, not as open as i normally do) to work out (P90X yoga X to be exact)
I was getting warmed up with the sun salutations and so on so forth. an downward facing dog after the next. I had to put my leg up and "get some height" and then "swing it through to runners pose" when it happened. I was swinging through with all of my strength when i hit the top of a chair nearby and heard a little crack. it hurt like hell!
I waited a good 45 minutes thinking "I always hit my foot and its not big deal, you're just lazy and don't want to work out. get off that couch and continue" so i put on my sneakers to cushion my feet and i wasn't even able to get my foot in. I tried to stand up to get some lighter shoes but I couldn't even set my foot down.
little bit after it got super swollen and red and i decided to just give up for the day. a couple hours later my toe turned green. i decided to go to the hospital and.. surprise, my toe was broken!
I think to myself "see what happens when you work out regularly and gain strength? I couldn't even control my strength!" (silly joke of mine)
of course people had to laugh at me for telling them I broke it doing yoga.
It's just a silly story to me, I wanted to share it with you guys.
keep going strong! keep working out and be careful when working out at home, guys!
(or you may be bed ridden for a week)
lots of love

Sorry to hear that. Completely sounds like something I would manage to do. I'll remember to be careful at yoga class tonight. If it makes you feel better, I fell off a stability ball with dumbbells in my hands this morning. No broken bones, though0

No pain, no gain...Lol!
Seriously though, hope it heals quickly for you.0 -
Yeah that could be me as well...
Worst thing that I got from yoga is bursitis though
Hope it heals quickly! :flowerforyou:0
