Yes - and those that call it a "waste of time" should probably re-examine their time watching TV/movies - it's just entertainment, folks. We all need it in one way or another.

Totally depends on the mood, but because of my lifestyle (see below), I prefer something I can just pick up and put down without having to think much.
Are you casual or hardcore?
Casual - I used to be a very heavy gamer in my teens. Nowadays, I'm self-employed, work 10-14 hours/day, train in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu 10-15 hours/week, and try to pretend I have a social life. I haven't turned on my PS3 in weeks, though I hope to this weekend, if my to-do list gets under control.
How many hours do you play a week?
On a good week, 2-3. Most weeks, zero. But if I'm between projects, or injured and can't train at the gym, I binge pretty hard.
Favorite game of all time?
Such a tough question... Diablo 2, or Starcraft. Maybe Morrowind - all three have eaten hundreds, if not thousands of hours of my teenaged-life.
Single or multiplayer?
Single player - I don't need 14 year olds telling me what they did with my mother last night, or screeching homophobic slurs at me.
Do you read gaming magazines?

I've never been much more than a casual player, but since I got serious about weight loss / fitness, I find the bulk of my spare time goes towards that. I doubt that I've played more than 10 hours this year. My favorites were Call of Duty, Medal of Honor, Splinter Cell, and Fallout 3.0

I miss the old Warcraft (Pre-WOW) games. I also miss a really ancient game I used to play as a kid called Kings Quest. Also currently obsessing over Banished.

In between. Casualcore? Hardcasual? I used to be hardcore with Counter-Strike 1.6 and WoW but am not that way anymore.

Honorable mentions go to Goldeneye 64, Age of Empires 2, Counter-Strike 1.6, Bioshock, Just Cause 2, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Far Cry 3, and Grand Theft Auto V.
There are so many more I want to add. Mortal Kombat II for Sega Genesis, Super Smash Bros. 64, Starcraft 2, WoW, Left4Dead 2, Team Fortress 2, Super Meat Boy, Skyrim... the list of games that left permanent impressions and great memories is huge. But yeah, the legendary Half-Life 2 takes the win.

This one depends. I don't play as much as I use to. Busy with my son and fitness related things. I play whenever I can sometimes that means 0 hours a week, other times I could get a handful (if I'm lucky).

What platform do you prefer? I would probably say the PS3/PS4, but in all honesty, it totally depends on the game. I own all the new platforms and some of the older ones. I just finished Valkyria Chronicles on the PS3, before that it was The Last of Us on the PS4, and I've been going back and forth on the XBox One, 360 and the Wii. Speaking of the Wii/WiiU, did you all know that there will be a DLC with new tracks coming out the end of November?
