It seems strange to me that playing a round of golf, riding in a golf cart, would burn more calories than a 4-mile walk at a brisk pace. When it shows I burned 800 calories playing golf, does it include the 400 calories I would probably burn in 5 hours if I was sitting doing nothing? In other words, am I really burning only 400 calories during a 5-hour round of golf (when you subtract the calories your body will burn naturally during the day).
