This Web Site is helpful to me and many others in providing us necessary information for our Health. However one section is completely out of whack and that is the area of :Nutrition Labeling. I can not understand that these important Labels as presented are mostly a joke. Some (most) examples: Chicken Nugets (BK) shows only serving size: 6 pc ea with 58,445 cal.
Wendy's shows Chicken Nugets at 2.5 oz serving with 300 cal only. This goes on and on.

Where is the rest: FAT, CHOLESTEROL, SODIUM, POTASSIUM, CARBS, FIBER, SUGAR, PROTEIN,
Vitamins, Calcium, Iron etc. All these, should be included in any "Food Nutrition Facts Label"
Calories alone, will not help people on special diets or who have other needs.

Many Health Web Sites are doing a very good Job labeling their products correctly.
(Spark People, ND Nutrition Facts, Livestrong, Nutrition Facts- Fat Secret etc.)

I hope somebody is responsible for editing or proof reading the material being published.
It really would make this a great site to visit and learn.

Thank You

    Hi Wendy
You should be able to get the detailed info fairly easily. McD's and others also provide sheets that give detailed nutrition on all their items. Like this:

    http://nutrition.mcdonalds.com/getnutrition/nutritionfacts.pdf

If you can't find it at the restaurant, you can certainly find it on the net.

Almost everything other than staple products (the ones you see without an asterisk) is entered into the database by users. A lot of times they either make up numbers or only enter in what is important to them (i.e. calories, carbs). If you find an entry that is erroneous, you can fix it. The admins don't comb through them as there are thousands upon thousands of entries.
