Ok, I know that the time served MFP ers will think this is old news, but I am pretty new, as are a lot of my friends on here, and just thought it might be worth mentioning.

There is a post were someone is asking to check his diary. So I had a peek and it all looked pretty ok, maybe not weighing accurately enough etc, but on the whole pretty good.

Then I noticed that his sodium was really low, and as it is a well known fact that sodium makes us retain water ( varies obviously person to person ) that this might be part of his problem. None of the really processed foods he had scanned had any sodium on there!

I noticed this myself when I couldn't work out how I was not getting any calcium or iron, I scan most stuff if i can.

So just want to make the newer folk aware that check the micro nutrients and if they aren't all there you can add them in, it might just make things more balanced.

It seems to me that most of the entries are incorrect in the MFP database. Especially on micronutrients, but often also on calories and/or macronutrients. Even the entries that not user entered don't match the USDA food database.
