New-Tackling this food addiction.....

I've had an account on MFP for awhile, but today I started using it. Looking forward to going on this journey with you all!
By the grace of God, I recently beat an addiction to prescription meds. To be quite honest, that was way easier than this food addiction. You can stop taking the meds cold turkey. You can't quit food.
The plan I'm going to follow is the calories in/calories out, no sugar, no white flour plan. And re-reading Made to Crave by Lysa TerKeurst. I highly recommend that book.

Good luck! You can do it! I just hit my 6 yr "Birthday" myself this month. I gained about 150lbs after I got clean. I know a lot of people just have this overwhelming desire for sugar/carbs after they have been through addiction. It's a tough battle, but will be so worth it!0
