Sick and gaining weight?

A little background for the past few days. I've done extremely well all week, aside from my 1 brownie (which was within cals). I've been rotating turbo fire, x3, walking, and insanity this week and hitting my macros (1400-1500 calories) every day as well as staying on top of my water.
Yesterday morning I was down a pound, but last night I came down with a nasty, rough cough along with flu like symptoms and this morning I'm up nearly 4 lbs? I'm not generally obsessed with the scale, but I've been excited starting back to reaching my goals and I'm a little thrown by this. Is it related to being sick? Any thoughts are appreciated!

This is water weight.
Good news: The scale will easily go back down if you keep your fluids high and when you start sweating again.
Bad news: Well, it's just water weight.0 -
Drink lots of water (helps water retention), you'll be back down in a day or three.0

Stay off the scale if you have a difficult time seeing normal fluctuations. I suggest weighing once a week only.0
