Contemplating Aero Bars, just after some personal experiences.
I'm currently riding 10 mile TT's at just over 20mph.
I also want to up the mileage on long rides.
Will this up my speed on TT's and will it hinder my long rides?
Cheers all

For the cost of something the Profile T2 all I can suggest is to try them for yourself.
Aero bars are the subject of great debate at the tri club I belong to. One of our more knowledgeable bike wonks suggested that they have little impact at speeds below 40km/h (25mph) and that it is imperative that your bike be setup properly to use them (the tech who set up my road bike echoed the advise about changing the seat height).
I tried them for a while, never got comfortable with them. I may revisit them in the future....0 -
You have to redo your position setup, and at first, you won't be any faster - you might actually be slower. In the aero position, you're sort of using the muscles differently, and until you build those up, it makes you slower or no faster. Whatever you gain from ower wind resistance, you lose in producing less power.0
