ok MFP says to lose 1 pound and according to my personal info it gives me 1370 calories to eat...yet when I check what would be my BMR on other sites it says 1458 cals...now I am lost cause I read that you should not eat below BMR so then 1370 is way to low.

ok I am 65 year old female , 5'1''...weigh 190 and my goal weight is 160lbs...my activity is 40 to 60 minutes cycling burn between 365 to 664 calories doing this other than that not really active.

bottom line is really how many calories should I be eating to lose...

There is less than 100 calories of difference between 1370 and 1458 - that really isn't all that much, and definitely within the margin of error not only for your BMR calculations made on the internet (rather than measuring your actual body in a lab), but also for daily logging. Just having 1 or 2 additional grams of everything throughout the day may well add up to 100 calories. MFP also expects you to eat back the calories that you use up in exercise. So when you cycle, you would be eating even more.

Eat between 1370 and 1735 and you will be fine.
