General observation.

There are millions of people out there walking around, totally oblivious or not caring that they're overweight/obese, eating whatever they want and not giving a second thought to it.

And then there's many people 2 lbs away from some magical number they thought up in their head that is their perfect weight, obsessing about the tiny bite of ice cream they ate.

I've been both of these people, so…yeah. I guess what I'm saying is it's probably best to be somewhere in between these two.

Pointless observation over.

I don't think many are oblivious to their weight. I sat behind a friend at a church and watched him stand up. If I had that much trouble pushing my weight out of a chair, I think I would know I had a problem.

Agreed. I would say there's almost no one who doesn't KNOW if they're fat. But knowing you have a problem, and being willing to face it and do something about it, are quite different animals.
