Running speed

I might be crazy but running is amongst the most popular fitness activities. Why can't MFP have a more detailed and open option for computing these important data points. People who track calories also probably track exercise speed/distance/calorie count.
Today I ran 4.5 Miles at 10.1 Min/Mile speed (MFP counts it as 11.5), why are there only options 8, 9, 10 or 11.5(Min/Mile)??
I use a Garmin Connect but the data from the Garmin isn't reflected onto MFP :(

Speed is less of a factor in caloric burn than weight and distance traveled.

RunKeeper is free and feeds results to MFP.

I just comment below. MFP rounds the slower paces to 00:30, but faster speeds to the 01:00. Stupid.

Your Garmin should give you a calorie burn...if you set up your profile. I would plug that in...I round the pace to the nearest 15 seconds...8:15/mile, 8:30/mile, etc.

Been doing it for most of two years. Seems to work.

You should be able to connect the garmin data to mfp. Every time my garmin loads it shows calories on my profile, but MFP still changes the speed on me. Anything 10.1 mm and above defaults to 11:30 mm. Annoying.
