Big NSV: I have been a 34 inch waist pants size since high school. Even at my heaviest, the 34's fit in the waist. It was just a matter of how much was hanging over it.
About a year ago I was able to replace them with 32's.
Today my wife brought me a pair of Levi 505s...30 inch waist. They fit perfectly.
