Evening Energy

I get up at about 5:30 every day. I am a teacher, so I am going nonstop all day. I have a 4 year old at home. I have absolutely no energy in the evening. I'm ready for bed by 8:00. Is this normal? Is there something natural to give me more energy in the evening? Even on the days I exercise I am pooped by 7 or 8.

That sounds normal to me. I get up at 6:00 and am tired around 10:00 and I don't even have a 4 year old.0

You have a four year old and you're a teacher. Of course you have no energy at the end of the day. I'm sure you're ready to go to bed by 8, but probably don't make it in there until 9-9:30.0

Do a few jumping jacks. A little bit of light cardio works for me.0

Doesn't sound normal to me. I start work at 6pm, by 5pm I'm wrapping it up in the gym, heading home to deal with things, and generally tired around 10pm. 7 or 8? No way.0 -
Go to bed at 8 and listen to your body.
People who do not get enough sleep tend to put on weight.

I might add that I am often wide awake from 2-4 am (as I am right now!). This cycle is driving me nuts!0

similar life and I would almost bet you weren't eating enough.
I found I was exhausted / bone-weary when I wasn't eating enough - so increased my calories to fuel my body appropriately whilst still losing weight and I feel better for it.
also get your iron levels checked - I also take a vitamin supplement on workout days called Emergen-C which gives me a boost but I'm not sure if this is just a placebo
wear a pedometer for a few days (or forever like me and my fitbit) and get your TDEE worked out properly - then cut from that0
