Hey guys! Recently school has become really stressful and requires me to be on campus all day. To save money and time I usually bring a cup of noodles with me for lunch 4 out of 7 days a week. I know its crap food but its good, cheap, and pretty low calorie at 290cals each. My question is that if the noodles fit into my daily nutritional recommendations will they have a negative impact on my weightloss?

Not on your weight loss, no; if you consume less energy than you use, you will lose weight.

But it being high in salt will not be great for your internal health if you eat that way regularly. It'll also cause you to retain water weight, so the scale might confuse.
You might also lose a high proportion of muscle if you aren't getting sufficient protein, but that largely depends on what else you have in your diet.

There's a lot of sodium in there so you might retain water and have some bloat. But when you go back to normal eating after finals, you should be fine.

Those Nissan Cup of Noodles - I used to get the one of the chicken ones all the time. They're so yummy!

The noodles won't kill you. Those things aren't really high in calories. It's the sodium. Holy God, there is a ton of it in there.

best trick i do is drain the juice and add hot water than drain it again... it drains out a lot of the sodium...

Nutritionally it has no real value but it's quick filler. Get your protein and vitamins during other meals. :) my husband would do Ramen + tuna + Hoi sin. It's surprisingly good and gives you a good dose of protein, keeps you full for longer, some healthy fat, all for not a lot of calories or much more money.
    :)

Try to drink lots of water to offset the sodium.

Try not to drink a lot of the broth. It's still cals in/out but most cup noodles have 2x the daily recommended sodium intake.

Make sure to double check the serving size too! Some are x cals for 1/2 the cup.
