I went out this morning and I did a light jog/run the radius of about 3 blocks but I walked about a third of it. I'm not too sure how to enter it.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I'd go to MapMyRun & map out my route to determine distance. Enter it as a run of whatever pace you figure you managed and manually enter calories ~100*miles completed running. Enter the walk separately or consider it a bonus!0

If you know the distance you walked and ran, you can use these formulas.
Your Net Calorie Burn/Mile Running = .63 x your weight (in lbs)
Your Net Calorie Burn/Mile Walking= .30 x your weight (in lbs)
edit: And in case you've missed the other HRM threads on here tonight, an HRM will not give an accurate calorie count for low intensity exercise such as walking. They only work for moderate intensity steady state cardio such as running. In your case, the above equations are probably more accurate than an HRM.0 -
Ok, so I went to Map My Run and got it figured it up, but the issue is....
0-.3 jog
.3-.35 walk
.35-.48 jog
.48-.57 walk
.57-.67 jog
.67-.69 walk
.69-.74 jog
I am just starting out so I obviously took a few breaks. In case anyone's good at math and bored, I'm 167lbs0 -
just leave it
or enter it on MFP database for time under walking brisk pace and halve the calories given0 -
I think that you're overthinking it. The error that you'll generate by just grossing it all as a slow run is no more significant than going through the hassle of working it all out stage by stage.0
