Remember why you started. All of those reasons are still there.
Write it down and set yourself small and achieveable goals.
  • Think about where you want to be, not where you are.

When the going gets tough...the tough get going. Are you in week 3? Unless you are injured, get out there & get it done!

I have a lot of the Beachbody programs and Insanity is the one I just never feel like doing. I did one round of it, lost some weight, gained better cardio conditioning, got the t-shirt and that was it.

I would give nicknames to the cast such as Jersey Shore's Pauly D and Vinnie,Tania the Cheater, The Scary Midget, etc. It's a big group and there was always that first person to fall out and need a break. I needed breaks too, so I would try to beat that first person out, then the next one, etc.

Just keep busting your butt, hit pause if you need or want to and see what happens.

For me, when I get frustrated I think of this: what is the alternative? Giving up equals being unhealthy, overweight, depressed, etc. Try to find a way to enjoy fitness more. I know I couldn't do Insanity but that's me....I'm happy working out an hour per day and tracking my intake on MFP. It works for me so perhaps find a more realistic level that is more enjoyable if you are struggling with motivation.
  • I was doing really really well, fell easily into week 6 then I was ill for just over 2 weeks where I couldn't exercise and have really struggled to find my motivation again. I am a healthy person and love exercise.....usually. I'm just stuck in a rut! (or lazy it sounds) !!!

    Thanks for all your replies!

    Fingers crossed!!!!

I feel exactly this way. I find that variety is the key to enjoying my workouts. As much as I want to stick to any particular program I know that that the best workout is the one I actually do.

I couldn't agree more with the wisdom I'm quoting here. I really do hope you can find a middle ground b/t working hard, but enjoying it at some level, too. Whatever you do, do not quit!
