Calories with exercise question

I got sick and didn't do anything for a week. I badly underate for a good portion of it. I am back to being myself again and decided to evaluate my current WL plan. I started by changing my WI day so that the graph on the app for weekly goal is more helpful. Next is my calorie/macro goals

I am using IIFYM to determine my numbers. I originally put in working out 4x a week. It was 2 lifting and 2 cardio. I changed it to 3 lifting and 1 cardio, but I had a harder time getting the motivation to do the cardio.

This is what I am thinking of doing - set IIFYM to working out 3x a week and use that (done), but when and if I have the hankering to do some cardio, log it on here for some extra calories just on those days.

Bad idea? Am I getting too nitpicky? Does it just not work that way?

Not a bad plan, go with it and see how it works

As far as physics and math go, yes as long as your other activities didn't go down. You're essentially setting your activity level to a certain spot and anything above that would be extra.
