Which is more accurate?

When measuring food, such a veggies, is it better to use a 1 cup serving or measure out 8oz on my food scale?

Note that 8 ounces = 1 FLUID cup...not a solids cup. Also, yes..a scale is better...but 1/2 Lb of veggies (8 oz) is far more than a measuring cup of veggies...that's a *kitten* ton of veggies.
A cup of solids is going to be roughly 85 - 100 grams depending on how you would slice it. Just look for entries by weight though...cups to grams or ounces isn't really a legit conversion.0
