Macros Question

Hey Guys,

I was just wondering whether you can assign exercise calories into specific macros?

I am planning on doing some bodyweight exercises tonight, and usually that burns around 170 cals for a 30-45 min session, but I only have 1g of sugar and fat left in my daily allowance, so I can't really have anything. Can I use some of my exercise cals as sugar/fat instead? I hope that makes sense.

At the moment, I am not really doing IIFYM because I am still fairly new, so my main focus are the calories, but I am curious whether this can be done.

TL;DR version- if you exercise does it change the daily allowance for your macros or just your calories?

No, you can't assign them but you also don't need to stick to them with absolute rigidity, either. Frankly, I don't even pay attention to the sugar category. I've switched the categories I watch to protein, carbs, fiber, calcium and iron.

You can also go into your goals and change the percentage of the three macros to the way you eat. Then, when you exercise, the added calories will be split amongst the three in the same percentages. It won't change anything but fat, protein and carbs so your sugar allotment shouldn't go up with exercise. I feel that MFP has the protein goal set way too low and the carbs way too high so I've adjusted them accordingly.
