I just have a couple questions. I was wondering if any one has done P90x and if really works. I have it but I don't think I can do an hour a day. So will it work if I only do thirty minutes a day. I am trying to find something that will help tone with out going to the gym.
Thank you.
Thank you.

I haven't done the whole program but from time to time do select workouts from the program. Some of them are an hour or more but they are great workouts! For something a little shorter but still good the Cardio X is only 45 min. If you really only have 30 min a days to workout there is P90X3 which all of the workouts are only 30 minutes, but you really get a good sweat going.0

Haven't done P90x but I have seen parts of it and it really looks way too extreme 4 me.
Personally I'm doing Focus T25, and I'm really enjoying it, it's short, intense and in my idea it's enough for me right now. but if you wanna go harder, I'd advice Insanity. Have a look and decide for yourself depending on how athletically inclined you are.0 -
Thank you it really helps. I heard of insanity and tons of people like it so I may give it a try.0

I do p90x (on day 38 currently) - I've been been following it pretty much exactly, except I rest on Sundays instead of doing the X-Stretch. I know 38 days doesn't sound like a lot but I have already noticed all my pants fitting much better and a lot more definition in my legs, arms, back, and abs. (my problem area has always been the saddle-bag area... even when I was 120lbs (5'6") I still had cellulite on my outer thighs... and it is disappearing more quickly than it ever has before, just in these short 38 days) It is HARD but worth it. The time goes slowly the first few weeks but as you get accustomed to the work load, they go by more quickly and even become enjoyable! LOVE PLYO and Kenpo - nothing gets your *kitten* in shape like p90x Plyo!
That all being said, I would not encourage anyone to take the commitment to p90x, or any of the aforementioned workout programs lightly... p90x and p90x3(not as in love with 3 as I am with the original but did help me with pushups a lot) I have personally done, and they are INTENSE and geared towards people who are already in decent shape... if that's you, then by all means go for it! If you are not in good shape (can't run a mile without stopping, and do at least 10 real pushups (not on your knees), among other things) you might want to start with something a little less extreme first and work up to p90x. (ex. I would not recommend this program to my mother, who considers a 30 minute walk an intense workout) However, you don't need to be able to do 100s of push ups and pull ups like they do on the DVDs to see amazing results!

I am doing P90X as well (Day 18). I did it about 5 years ago as well and I found it well worth the effort. I agree with mbcieslak87, it is hard but a really great way to work different muscle groups. I find that the hour a day goes pretty fast. p90X3 is roughly 30 minutes a day. I don't care for it as much but if you are concerned about the time, it may be a good idea just listen to your body and see if it is the right thing for you.0

I am doing P90X as well (Day 45), it is hard there's no question, but if you stick with it, you will get the results for sure. I've went from size 44 to a size 38 during this period of time, and my overall health and fitness keeps on improving. I know that the idea of putting aside an hour a day can seems like a lot, however, the convenience of doing the workout at home makes it more manageable to negotiate. It might not be an easy thing to do, but it's truly worth it. It's the more transformative program I've ever done, it's an investment in yourself that you won't regret. It will be an hour well spent.0
