Hoping to cut calories before holidays

Any suggestions to help with menu for Thanksgiving

    Same food items, but smaller portions. Also, I always think it's a good idea to have a fresh salad in addition to all the heavier food to balance it out.

    load up on veggies like celery and cucumber so you feel too full to go overboard on the calorie dense stuff

    thanksgiving is a roast dinner isn't it? I have a roast dinner almost every weekend

    the protein - turkey - it's great, it's roasted - eat the breast skinless, weigh it out - you get a decent amount for under 200 calories

    vegetables - seriously - boil them, steam them, don't mess around them - eat loads

    shove some carrots in with the roast potatoes (if that's what you do on thanksgiving) - eat the carrots and a couple of roasties

    gravy - nice splash - mustard whatever

    you can eat huge amounts of this kind of food for decent number of calories - if there's anything highly calorific - watch your portion size / make a lower cal alternative / don't eat it

    also don't eat your exercise calories in the week leading up to it to save for the splurging
