Favorite Brand of Running Shoes

My favorite brand of running shoe is New Balance. I have to get the 860's because I tend to over-pronate. What brand of running shoes do you prefer? If you're like me and have to wear the stability style, what brand do you think is best for stability?

Brooks is my fav by far and I use stability shoes0

I have a neutral gait so don't use motion control / stability shoes myself.
However, the brand I prefer are the ones that fit me well and are the most comfortable obvious as that sounds. I tried on about 6 different pairs when I got fitted and settled on a pair of Saucony Jazz. They weren't the or the most expensive but the ones that felt just right.0 -
I like the New Balance MR00 and the Hi-Rez. I also like Merrell and Innov8...0

I prefer Hoka Cliftons for daily trainers, second run, and marathon. Mizuno Wave Sayonara for 10K-HM and most speedwork, Mizuno Wave Ekiden (racing flats) for 5K and shorter, and some speedwork. All neutrals. When I was in stability shoes, I liked Wave Inspires.0

Vibram KMD Sport LS0

I overpronate as well. The NewBalance 860s were one of the ones recommended to me after a fitting at the running store, but I chose the other option also recommended to me- Brooks Ravenna 5. I find them to be lighter, and a tad more flexible than the 860s. And the colors are better too, lol. I wanted to love the new Wave Inspire- they felt so nice around my foot-but the little plastic piece at the bottom of the laces is hard and when you flex your foot it jabs you.0

Yep, a common complaint about that shoe. Funny thing is that it doesn't exist in their neutral trainers (Rider and Sayonara).0 -
I am neutral on the left and overpronate on my right foot, wide forefoot and low arches on both, and have problems with shin splints and calf cramping when running. However, I have fallen in love with Saucony Grid Cohesion 6 (trail version), a neutral shoe. I got a pair on clearance for $40, and after two runs I went back and bought the other two pairs they had in stock. These shoes are amazing. I bought and returned probably 10 different running shoes (Brooks, asics, NB, Mizuno) over four months before I found these. So, for now, Saucony is my favorite.0

Recently been doing all my running in Saucony Kinvaras, but I also have a love for the Newton Distance0

running shoes should be bought on function over form. Try them on, run in them and buy the most comfortable pair.
I use Brookes adrenaline GTS ones and have done for a few years going through about 7 pairs. I tried on a pretty much everything the specialist running shop had in stock that would suit my gait, ran in all of them and those were the most comfortable with the correct stability.
I'm due to have my gait checked again next time I need a new pair so I can see if the 8 stone i've lost has changed it but again I don't care what they look like or how much to a certain extent as long as they are marathon distance comfortable and fit me right.0 -
Reebok with the memory foam insoles. Best shoe I have ever had on my feet.0

New Balance trail shoes rock!0

I have a neutral gate and love my Asics Gel Nimbus 160

Yeah, the 860's aren't much to look at, that's for sure. I may try out the Brooks Ravenna 5 next time.0 -
I tend to overpronate horribly. They could tell when I was walking into the store, they didn't even have to put me on the treadmill lol.0

I assume they still checked you on the treadmill though? you get a level of support past Stability.0

Asics, because their wide width shoes are ACTUALLY wide width, not just pretending to be so.0

The ones that will take me anywhere.0

I over-pronate as well. Apparently I've learned to compensate, because even at a walk I start a step, my ankle will cave in, then it corrects, over-corrects, and I end up pushing off of my outer three toes.
So, I can't really use stability shoes. Plus, my arches are low enough that any support usually feels like I'm running on a golf ball - I get bruises.
I've been using Saucony Kinvara 5s, but the toe box is a little cramped and I'd like to move to a zero drop, if I can find one that fits. The more of a drop I have, the more my knees bother me (Jumper's Knee), and I notice it even with the 4mm drop I have. Odd that my knees are happiest when I run in Keds. The pounding is miserable, and so are the blisters I get, but my knees have no trouble at all.0 -
I currently have Nike Pegasus that I love. I'm not an avid runner, though, but I'm hoping to get more into it. After I bought them that's when I really read into going to a specialty store that measures gait. I'll be sure to do that for my next pair and I'll try some of the brands recommended here.0

I bought three pairs before I went to an actual running store. Now, that's all I will buy running shoes from.0 -
Saucany Omni's and Brooks Adrenaline for minor over pronation and some cushioning for plantar fasciitis.0

I love my merrell barefoot vapor shoes. I've bought three pairs now, I like them so well.0

My running store recommended Asics Gel GT-2000 2 based on my slight over pronation gait analysis about a year ago. I'm enjoying my second pair now. A few months ago I bought ASICS GEL-Super J33. They're lighter (less padding) but still provide some stability for over pronators. I currently plan to run in them at my Dec 13 half marathon. I have a pair of New Balance 880s that I ran in before my Asics and use them for yard work now.0

Asics. But I prefer the look of Nikes.0

Brooks ghost, Saucony guide. Love both brands, looking into getting Mizuno fot spring season.0

I've been wearing Asics since I started in April and they have been great for me.0
