Exercise - Calories - Weight Loss

I have a question please. If MFP indicates I should consume 1230 calories a day in efforts to lose 2lbs a week, then I exercise (walking 30 minutes) - when I enter the exercise my calorie amount changes. Am I suppose to consume that new amount or no b/c then I wouldn't lose weight. Simple question to some I'm sure, but I'm a tad confused. thank you, Veronica

eat back like 50-75% of exercise calories due to inaccurate calories from MFP database. MFP wants you to net 1230 calories.0

Hi there. You'll find that this is a frequently asked question around here and it pops up several times a day. Because of that, there have been a few explanations written and pinned to the top of various boards to try and explain MFP's setup and why it adds those extra calories to your goal.
I happen to really like this post to help explain it: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/818082/exercise-calories-again-wtf0
