I don't think anyone took your comment personal.

I was cooking with my daughter and granddaughter the other day and I asked if I could use their "colander". My daughter asked if I could use the other word for it so they could know what I was talking about. Oh yeah, a sieve. Sheesh. So many great words, so few places to use them.
I call it a strainer
I thought a strainer was a set in which you strained a muscle.
"ahh, *kitten*..that was a strainer!"0 -
Oh, how this made me0

In a very well-loved children's book (by a certain Miss Potter) Benjamin Bunny's family was 'improvident and impecunious' -such delicious words! Don't force us all to select from only the practical or well-used options. Equal rights for all the words in the dictionary and those yet to be there!0

I love words. I love reading about words, learning new words and learning the etymology of words.
This. If you don't understand what someone is saying, maybe it's a hint that you should pick up a dictionary or go to school to further your education/expand your knowledge.0 -

Canadian or British, or just like using superfluous u's?
Or just like spelling things correctly?
But seriously, if you have access to this site, you have access to google. Look up the word or phrase you don't know and learn something. Ffs0 -
