It was bound to happen eventually

Basically, I'm a dancer. I had a short time out (a year) which meant a looooong time getting back up to strength and into shape. I reckon I'm just about there! I've been planning to shed a couple of pounds to get more definition, but after a recent rehearsal where it was far harder than it used to be to throw myself around in difficult partnerwork/lifts, I decided I need to get it sorted before the next show or I won't even survive the final week of rehearsals! I don't expect to lose the full 8lbs before then (22nd June) but I can make a good push for it!

The first 3 days of the week are an office job for me, but I also have gymnastics training and rehearsals in those evenings so that's exercise for those days covered. I also have training and classes on Thursdays, but also spare time to add things in. Then, aside from any rehearsals that might appear, I have time to do as much as possible Friday/Saturday/Sunday.

The one thing that works against me is that I have trouble keeping my blood sugar up no matter what I eat (and yes, I've had that checked out, there's no apparent cause). I reach that dizzy stage a lot more easily than I should, so I can find it quite difficult to resist a "quick hit" of something that will make me feel better sooner.

Anyway, that's my situation, more or less. My body will thank me for making its work easier and I reckon my dance partner won't mind too much either! ;)
