Sodium is sneaky

I have been diagnosed with Ménière's disease ( inner ear disorder) and there is no real treatments for it but eating a low sodium diet can help with the symptoms. Since logging my foods and watching my sodium intake I've found that that stuff hides everywhere! I knew stuff like processed sauces and dressings and soy sauce would be bad but there are a lot of sources of sodium and it adds up during a day. Anyone have any tips for low sodium diets? I'm obviously going to be relying more on fresh fruits and veggies and more herbs and spices that I mix myself so I can control the salt but not be eating bland food. Any ideas for mapping flavour and avoiding sodium would be helpful!

Epicure spices are fantastic for flavour and low sodium. Good luck!0

I know what you mean! My DH and I are on a heart healthy diet and getting the sodium under control has been the hardest part of it. My only suggestion is to make most things from scratch so that you control what goes in.0
