ok so i am a runner have been since i was a school kid now 42 n still love it..4 to 5 day week training 5 mile eve run 10 to 18 big run(once weekly)..just returned from first run in 2 week n slowly did 2 mile ..why?? plantilar fiscilitus..on going problem ive had for just over 10 yr now..im under bio mechanics n i wear insteps in my every day sensible shoe wear..my trainers are fitted at a brilliant running shop that studies YOUR run using treadmills and computers..i stretch daily even on days off n still this so frustrating when it strikes,,it can keep me off for weeks n thats where the healthy eating goes a bit haywire so i gain weight,,comfort eating i call it cos im sulking about the break from running..i do swim when im off road just to keep my stamina up but it is just not the same..i also use ice bottles and tennis balls to stretch my foot when im relaxing..any one got any sensible advice or in the same boat
