It depends on what foods you enjoy. You don't want to feel deprived. I've done well so far making substitutions with my favorite foods. For example, before I started here I would always make these open faced, broiled sandwiches with white bread, American cheese, tomatoes, onions and full fat bacon. Now I make my sandwich with Sarah lee 45 calorie delightful multi grain bread, low moisture part skim mozzarella, onions, tomatoes and low sodium reduced fat turkey bacon. Instead of regular sugar filled peanut butter I use PB2. Instead of ground beef in my taco soup or tacos I use lean ground turkey. I up my veggies and lower the amount of meat. Instead of going to Dunkin donuts for my vanilla chai I make it at home, I do not feel deprived, I'm still eating the things I like, just in a different format. There are alot of members with open diaries you can look at to get ideas as well. Good luck on your journey!0

Just eat at a small deficit and lower your carbs a bit and thatll do the trick! Id be happy to help with the details if you want, I just need some stats first0

i agree. cut down on bread most importantly and stick to rice if you're not into cutting out carbs completely. i have found that in cutting out wheat, my midsection isn't as "bloaty". focus on veggies and snack on pickles (also a pseudo veggie lol). i also have found soups are very handy for a hearty low-cal meal.0 -

This and this. Or replace MFP numbers with numbers from an external calculator (if you calculate exercise with it, don't eat back exercise calories)0
