What are your weight-loss superstitions?
Ok I know MFP users are mostly all reasonable "calories in < calories out" types but even the more logical among us may have a one or two silly things that we do just because. I'm looking for things that make you say, "I know it doesn't make sense/can't be proven that this has any effect, but I'm doing it anyway"...
Mine are all related to food that I eat/drink for quasi-diet/health related reasons. For example, I've started drinking achiote tea because someone from South American once told me that it's used there for weight loss. If you google "achiote tea weight loss" you will find practically zero evidence that it's really has any effect on weight loss, but whatever.... it's just tea, it can't hurt!

If I add baby spinach to anything it automatically becomes a healthy salad.0

I tried the acai berry crap once and gained a ton of weight. (Pre-MFP days). Never again. The drink is tasty, though.0

Milk before bed...
I swear by it... always have..
I think it helps to subdue hunger throughout the night.. its been a miracle for me.
Other than that, nothing really!0 -
